Register by April 18! This class provides the necessary entry-level lifeguard participants with the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies and to provide professional level care of breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries, and sudden illness until emergency medical services (EMS) personnel take over. The course fee includes certification in Lifeguard training, First Aid, Professional level CPR, and AED.
Classes will be held:
May 4 - 8am to 4pm
May 5 - 8am to 4pm
May 11 - 8am to 1pm
PRE-REQUISITES (Testing April 18 at 4:00pm):
- Swim 300 yds continuously and demonstrate breath control & rotary breathing
- Tread water for 2 minutes
- Feet first surface dive to 7 ft.
- Retrieve a 10 lb brick and swim 25 yds.
- 7-hour online course must be completed prior to classes
